PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI SOSIALISASI DAN PEMELIHARAAN DRAINASE BERBASIS PARTISIPASI: KAJIAN DI DUSUN III DESA AEK LOBA
Abstract
Drainase yang berfungsi baik sangat penting untuk menjaga kebersihan dan kenyamanan lingkungan permukiman, namun kinerjanya sering menurun akibat penumpukan sampah, sedimentasi, tumbuhan liar, serta rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pengelolaan drainase berbasis partisipasi warga di Dusun III Desa Aek Loba, Kecamatan Aek Kuasan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek kegiatan terdiri atas 10 orang warga dan 1 kepala dusun. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif naratif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kondisi awal saluran mengalami penyumbatan akibat sampah rumah tangga, endapan tanah, dan tumbuhan liar. Setelah pelaksanaan sosialisasi, pemahaman warga mengenai fungsi dan pentingnya pemeliharaan drainase mengalami peningkatan. Aksi pembersihan bersama berhasil memperbaiki kondisi fisik saluran sehingga aliran air menjadi lebih lancar. Kepala dusun berperan strategis sebagai penggerak dan penghubung warga. Dengan demikian, pengelolaan drainase melalui kegiatan partisipatif sederhana mampu meningkatkan kesadaran dan tindakan nyata warga dalam pemeliharaan lingkungan secara berkelanjutan.
