IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM PENINGKATAN MUTU BELAJAR SISWA PADA KURIKULUM MERDEKA DI SMP AL MUKMIN TEMBUNG
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya manajemen kepala sekolah dalam mendukung pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka dan meningkatkan mutu belajar siswa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Al Mukmin Tembung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis mutu belajar siswa, mendeskripsikan implementasi fungsi manajemen kepala sekolah, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Informan penelitian terdiri atas kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, guru, dan siswa yang dipilih secara purposif berdasarkan keterlibatan langsung dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan keabsahannya diperiksa melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik serta konfirmasi kepada informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah melaksanakan fungsi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan secara berkelanjutan. Praktik tersebut mendorong pembelajaran yang aktif, fleksibel, kolaboratif, dan berpusat pada peserta didik serta meningkatkan aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor siswa. Keberhasilan implementasi didukung oleh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, keterlibatan guru, fasilitas pembelajaran, dan budaya kerja sama. Kendala utama meliputi keterbatasan pemahaman guru mengenai pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, asesmen formatif, dan penyusunan perangkat ajar.
